FEMALE FORM

Natasha Law's work is at the same time delicate and intense, soft and empowering. The first time i had a glimpse of it was on the pages of british Vogue a few years ago - a red on white ink sketch featuring a woman from behind, so demure yet incredibly striking.
Her highly recognizable work, which portrays the female form in saturated glossy paintings and deceptively carefree illustrations, has since then appeared, among others, on solo exhibitions at Eleven in London and Voltz Clarke in New York, a few books, and commercial ventures such as
Jemma Kidd's makeup range and accessories designer Beatrix Ong's shoe boxes.

Law, a mother of three and sister to actor Jude, works from her studio in Camberwell, South London, to which she sneaks off when the children are in bed. Since last year, the artist has added yet another dimension to her work in the form of Lou Lou and Law, a clothing brand featuring her trademark sketches on Ann Louise Roswald's clothing designs, and available at a few select shops.

CANDY BOX

In 1887 two german men living in Portugal, Ferdinand Claus and Georges Ph. Schweder, founded the first Portuguese factory of soaps and perfumes in the northern city of Oporto.
Fast forward a century, two decades and a whole lot of history, and Claus Porto remains the portuguese face of luxury bath products, making an appearance in some of the most beautifully put together bathrooms worldwide.
With a wide range of products from scented candles to bath salts, our absolute favourites are the '12 Months of Soap' gift box, containing twelve tradicionally packaged soaps for each month of the year, and the 'Luxury Guest Soaps' kit, available in three versions, in a pretty golden-hued box cointaining 15 soaps of 5 varieties, and so colourful they look almost good enough to eat (but please don't!).

As the saying goes, Cleanliness is next to Godliness... so lock up your bathroom, light up a scented candle, and drift away in the pleasures of bathing.

STYLISH POOCH

We love dogs, and what's not to love? Great companions, warm, cuddly, pure and honest, and let's face it, as cute as they come. Because La Maison de Lola has its very own little friend named Dot (because of her dots), we are always delighted to see something beautiful and stylish for the canine bunch.

Paul Smith has a line just for dogs, but we particularly love his trademark multistripe dog collar (available in sizes small, medium and large), the swirl grained lead (to create contrast), and the metal dog collar tag, which is just adorable and gives your pooch a little playmate of his own.

Definitely too cool for (canine) school!

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

Today is the 1st anniversary of La Maison de Lola.
One year ago, on the 17th May, after huge amounts of work and a lot of twists and turns, we finally launched our brand and showed our collection through the first website.
One year went on, the collection has grown, our website has changed, we've made a few friends along the way, and through all these bits and pieces, we feel we've learnt so much and are so blessed to be doing what we love best.

Thank you for being here!

SOAP OPERA

Opened in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason in London's Piccadilly, Fortnum & Mason is an instituion of all things gourmet that has seen 300 years of history and yet still remains very much alive and kicking.
To prove just that, the makers of some of the yummiest and beautifully packaged delicacies have launched a delightful line of bath products, Fortnum’s Toiletries, well presented in vibrant colours such as lime green, turquoise, warm pink and deep purple.
In two scents, Rosa and Grapefruit, the range consists of scented candles, hand wash, bath and shower gel, hand and body lotion, eau de toilette and, our favourite, a gift package of 3 soaps.
Heavenly!
