MINIATURE WORLD

Vitra Design Museum miniatures are great to accessorize your space, and whether a living room or a kids' bedroom, they're highly collectible items that captivate the attention of both adults and children.
Starting with miniature chairs from the beginning of the 19th century, the collection includes all the most significant design classics, such as La Chaise (seen here) by Charles & Ray Eames, Butterfly Stool by Sori Yanagi or Pastilli by Eero Aarnio.
Made by highly skilled craftsmen, the miniatures are exact reproductions of the full scale models, replicating the actual colours, materials and construction.

VITRA EVENT AT MADRID

Yesterday, at Vitra Madrid, has taken place a presentation of the new office furniture concept Net'N'Nest, introduced by Erwan Bouroullec, and when night came, there was a party celebrating the 100th anniversary of Charles Eames' birth.
Coming to an end at about 3 am, the party was a rather nice way not only to see the amazing changes in Vitra's showroom, but also have a glimpse of the latest work by the Bouroullec brothers.

EAMES HOUSE

The Eames House book may be thin, but it's full of wonderful images and info about one of the most emblematic houses of modernist architecture. Conceived by Charles & Ray Eames, this wonderful house located in Pacific Palisades, California, is without a doubt an homage to simplicity and great design, using the colour block aesthetic often seen in some of their furniture.
Published by Phaidon, this five year-old book is still a must-have for those who love the work of the two american designers.
